Late, Late Season Strategies

What are some of you doing out there to be successful this late in the season?

Looking to help a friend this weekend harvest a bird and wondering whether to use the pretty boy, jake or nothing at all.

Also wondering about the calling aggressive, silent etc. ?

Thanks in advance. :way:

Nothing to add that's going to help you, but we had a bit of a disappointment this morning.
A buddy & I went out last Saturday morning and had an absolutely great hunt. We had birds gobbling everywhere to locator calls early & also to a few soft yelps before they flew down. With every call I made I got as many as 5 birds answering and called one in to the decoy from a LONG way away (last mistake he ever made!!).
So we went out this morning expecting much of the same thing since the weather had finally turned around and were shocked when we got no responses at sunup. We did FINALLY get one to answer us a few times but he hung up at about 150 yards out of sight and eventually must have lost interest. I had to work this morning, so we had to quit at 7:30, so who knows if we could have tracked one down eventually.
It's only an 80 acre timber and I know that no one else has been in there so we were baffled.
At least it was a beautiful morning to be in the woods!
