Well this late season has had several downs, I hit and wounded the same buck twice in consecutive weekends and obviously never recovered the deer but did see him still alive. Had some hunts ruined by coyotes. And the weather well was less than subpar. But I stayed after it and was able to finally connect with an old boy last night. I posted a trail cam pic of this buck a while back and he is a horse for sure! Have a shed off of him from last year. Have seen this buck a few times this season but the original plan was for my fiance to kill him, well she has not be able to go so I took him down for her. Some bucks just aren't made to grow into monsters but this old 6.5 yr old buck is still a trophy to me. This has been a great year with over 300" of antler hitting the dirt! Can't wait to next year already! Good luck to those still grinding!!
