Leasing Timber

I have a chance to lease some timber. Anyone know what the going rate per acre is ?? Its not great timber but decent hunting for my area . Thanks

Kinda like asking how much does a car cost. Huge variables. A few bucks up to $35/a or more.

8 to 20 bucks an acre

$10-15 is your going rate with the exception being a few farms that go for $20/acre.

I know of several in premium areas that are north of $30.

I agree $10-15 is average.

I have found them as cheap as $5.

I would rather lease than just have "free" permission.... yes I know... crazy thought to most people. FAR more control and accountability. It's worth it to me.
