1)Dont get attached to any of the deer you get on camera even if you hunt 3000 acres. Had 6 hitlist bucks go down and none of them by me. Kind of a heart breaker.
2)When you get a get a picture of a big buck in Vevlet, dont be suprised when he gets hit by a car 7 miles away.
3)Dont shoot as many does because there not very many deer left.
4)Moultrie D55 cameras are the best camera for the money... Hands down
5)Double ladder stands are so much more confortable than hang on stands
6)Double ladder stands are a b*tch to carry in by yourself
1) Deer are deer and if you expect them to do something they'll do the opposite.
2) Always be knocked and ready to shoot when walking to your stand in the afternoon. Learned this the hard way jumped a big main frame ten about 30 yds from my stand & couldn't get a shot.
3) Never let a glass bottle of doe estrus freeze and break in your pack. I can't get the smell off that pack for the life of me.
1. Pretty sure God made squirrels just to piss off hunters. (can't think of any other reason)
2. No TP usually means a dirty sock! Why is it that "bubble guts" always seem to happen in the tree stand and not while you're at home
3. coyotes are DAMN hard to get drawn' on!
No matter how disceplined your routine is, EVERYTHING that can happen to keep you from killing the deer you want, might just happen.....and happen on a regular basis.
Don't shoot to many Does.
Don't put off hunting early in the season, cause you might find hunting would have been better during that time frame vs. November.
