Limp quiver

OK- not really a limp quiver but a loose slot where the shaft snaps into the quiver. Doesn't hold the arrow securely, is there a fix for this condition?

Temporary fix would be to super glue a piece of wide rubber band in the slot to tighten the fit.

Permanent fix...new quiver!

pharmer, pharmer, pharmer, ya gotta quit lobbin those batting practice pitches my way, it is too easy to hit 'em outa the park.

If the tension that holds the arrow in the quiver isn't adjustable try some black elcetricians tape as a shim. Don't know if the tape will eventually get sticky stuff on your shaft or not. You just need to increase your friction some. An increase in friction will, in some cases, cause a reduction in tension but there is usually heat involved which may mean your are putting your shaft in the quiver a little too fast and a little to often. Ya need to let the shim cool before reinsertion of the shaft into the quiver to maintian the proper shim friction tension.

First year I switched to carbons I had that problem. I used some strips of mole skin in them. Then I bought a new quiver.

Doctor Bonk, you may have just saved a quiver. Till death do us part.

Of all the people I figured would respond, I knew Bonker may have some experience with friction.

It is a new quiver- (I think an Alpine).
Everytime I walk into the shed I grab the bow and shoot 5-10 arrows, only had this a couple months but it amounts to several hundred arrows, since the quiver holds 5, that one slot has maybe had the arrow in 75-100 times at most. Doesn't seem like the honeymoon should be over.

What kind of arrows? Some carbons are smaller diameter and maybe the fit just ain't what it used to be. Could be the finish of the arrows as well, little slicker than others? I know that the alpines have carbon and aluminum arrow holder options, maybe they have a couple different carbon holders? I dunno but I've used my alpine for a couple years now, ain't ever had this problem.

I'm not sure I have an answer to your "limp quiver" problem (you really should see a Doctor about that

but if you pick up one of these...it will keep your quiver from going limp while your just "practicing"

I'd probably agree with that dbltree, use the hunting quiver once or twice to make sure it works but during the off season I don't use it at all. A back pocket or one of those hip quivers works just as well.
