My wife and I watched a mountain lion for about a half hour last spring just south of Mt. Sterling in Clark county Mo. We were on a fence row and watched it in a crp field looking for mice. By the time it spooked it was only about 50 yards away. We did report it to the Mo. dnr and after a lot of questioning they did say that there are a few around and that they usually fallow the river systems.
I'd say if anyone has a chance at getting a pic of one, it would be you Kent. Any chance on getting that dead horse from your neighbor for cougar bait?
Just don't be mixin any of it up in the angus burger.
I like how the DNR alway deny that mountain lions are in Iowa. What will it take to prove it? Someone has to get killed by one before they will addmit to it.

I thought their has been a couple big cats killed up you guys way already? Why would the DNR doubt it?
I know they are in Lucas County. We found some tracks durring Turkey season and the DNR confirmed that they had found tracks in the same area. I will sure be looking over my shoulder walking to the bow stand this year!
Ghost what would you do if the one in your area walked by your stand?
