Lone Wolf Rules

This story might take awhile, so stop now and go get a drink and a snack and follow along. This fall Bowman and I went on a doe hunt and we used his LONE WOLF climbing sticks, I fell in love with em. Being the poor teacher I had to save my pennies and in March I had the funds needed. I had gone to a local archery shop for a winter indoor league (if you want the name pm me and I’ fill you in). While shooting I noticed a set of sticks in the corner by the stands. I asked the owner how much the LONE WOLF climbing sticks were. He gave me a price of $99 for three. I told him I really wanted four and he said no problem I’ve got more in the back, final price of $120 + tax. I told him I’d pick them up the following week.

The next week I went to get the sticks and he could not find the fourth stick. In my stupidity I paid him for the fourth on the promise he would get one for me. Several weeks passed and I heard nothing. My wife had been very persistent about calling, so last week I get a call form the owner with “Bad†news. The company doesn’t make my style sticks anymore he says. He’s going to try and find me one or the company will make a new one. I took it with a grain of salt and tried to let it go. Then I decided to take matters into my own hands and e-mail Lone Wolf. Within two hours I had a phone call at home. Dan from Lone Wolf informed that my dealer was full of it. Why would they change perfection? After some discussion it was decided that I had some old outdated sticks. He then told me to send my three sticks to him and he would replace the three with four. So I packed them up and sent them off to Lone Wolf. Problem solved. No, its just the beginning.

Yesterday I get a call form Lone Wolf. Dan is confused as to why I sent him the sticks. I reminded him of our conversation and he said he remembered, but why did I send him GORILLA sticks? Now I’m ready to lose it. He says not only did the dealer stick me on the price, he also sold me a set of sticks that are unsafe and have been recalled. The sticks are a cheap Chinese knock off of the real deal. The phone call ends and I’m upset, trying to figure out who to be mad at first. Me for being stupid or the dealer for being a crook. I sit down and talk with my wife and the phone rings again. Its Dan form Lone Wolf, he says he has a deal for me. He and André talked about the situation and they decided that they would send my sticks back, and if I wanted to buy four “Real†sticks with no shipping charges and a hat. The only catch was that I had to wear the hat into the dealer when I took back the sticks. Also they checked their orders and this dealer has never ordered sticks from Lone Wolf. Now its off to the Archery Shop for a little confrontation 101.

My sticks arrived and I immediately loaded up and went to the shop, with the hat. I confronted the owner and told him the story and that the sticks were not what he sold me and they were unsafe. He then offered to buy them back no questions asked. I was able to walk out with my money. Moral of the story. Don’t be an idiot like me, know what you’re buying (and yes I’m done dealing with this shop). And most importantly, deal directly with Lone Wolf They have the best customer service around. I see a new stand in my future now.

They are indeed top shelf. They are on the same level with Double Bull and in my book you can't get any better. Glad you got things worked out mole. I would have blown a gasket with the joker at the so called shop.

Sorry to hear about the crookedness Matt. At least you came out on top. I agree with Limb, this company is an Over-Achiever. Kudos to Lone Wolf.

That's one heck of a story.

I would have been irrate!!! I love my Lone Wolf hang on and my climbing sticks!! I just wish they weren't so dang much. But oh well. If they last me forever, they are worth the price.

MN, They might be expensive but it sure is nice to know if you have a problem it is going to get taken care of by their customer service.

Without question baggin. I'll always spend that extra dime if I know that I will taken care of if stuff isn't going right. Just like my bow shop. Sure I probably pay a little more than a few other places, but if I'm in stand and something just isn't right....I can drive straight there, they will tweek whatever needs to be done and I'm back out in the woods. If it's minor, they don't even charge me. Customer service goes A LONG way with me.

I still can't get over that this "dealer" sold you some bogus and falselly advertised a great product, Lone wolf should be knocking on this guys door. He sold you bogus, took your money, lied, and broke the law. Sounds like a real loser...
