I e-mailed LW and asked about getting a larger seat on the stand. Here's the reply.

I assume that they will only offer it with a stand and not sell it alone, but who knows. It sure wouldn't hurt my feelings to have a larger seat on one.

I agree. I can sit in it for about 4 hours.....can't do an all day sit in it. The Foot rest helps.

They came out with a new stand called the scout which is smaller much like the original stand. The new seat which will come on all the new alpha hang ons and will be able to purchase seprately will have 30 percent more surface area and will be adjustable to any angle (unlike the current one). They are also working on several cool accessories that clip on to the stand. The seat will be available this summer and I hope to have one at this years deer classic. They also have improved the v-bracket which in now known as the bat wing.

I can't wait for the new ones to hit the market!!!! I love the one I have and if they make it better...then I am sure I will like it even more

That would be nice to have the seat adjustable for the angle of the tree too. As far as the size of the seat goes, it seems about right to me, of course for every four hours on stand I might only sit a half hour, so it doesn't bother me much.

I guess I'm like LIV....I don't spend too much time actually sitting on my seat......however, I think making it larger is definately an improvement. What I would really love to see is a wider range of adjustment to level the stand out....I've got some really crooked tree's I'd like to get into.
