Looking at getting a new Muzzleloader

I’m looking at getting a new muzzleloader. What’s everybody’s opinion on what’s the best out there in terms of accuracy, ease of cleaning, etc?

The easy answer is to go smokeless. There are several other persons doing the Arrowhead type smokeless builds and that is the way I went and don't regret it. The cost is significant though.

Yeah you can spend a lot on a smokeless but you don't have to spend alot either. You can get into a smokeless for $750.... or $4,000. The $750 version is gonna be better than any black powder gun on the market.

If you dont want to spend the money for a smokeless gun. I have had good luck with my cva accura. However my next gun will be smokeless.

I had Hollis Weber from Centerpunch USA in Dubuque convert a stainless steel CVA Scout 45-70 to smokeless for me last summer. The gun/conversion was under $700 and you can get the blued CVA hunter model for about $100 less. Mine shoots ridiculously good for what it is with just a 12x heavy duplex scope on it. It will wallow out a hole at 100yds and has shot several 200yd groups under 1" Ive only shot it one time on paper at 300yds and it was just about 3" take away one flier and it would have been a 2" group.
The accuracy is only one of the Pro's of the conversion... Its clean, theres no smoke, it loads easy, its light weight compact and maneuverable, and it has a TON of energy. It still has more ft lbs of energy at 200yds than most conventional muzzleloaders have at the muzzle
Not sure why the 2nd and 3rd pics are sideways but the 2nd pic is a 200yd group using the same load and zero as the 100yd group above it... The pic of the doe shows the exit wound from it using 275g Fury Star Tip 2 bullets

I have a Knight Long Range Hunter that I will part with. Has a Nikon BDC scope on it, thumbhole stock.
I have killed several deer with it at 250 plus yards.
