Went out last night and decided to use my ground bling. About 5:30 6 does and 2 bucks, descent 7 and basket rack 6 come out into the corn field. They abviously noticed my ground blind because as soon as they crested a little hill in the field they just stared. This went on for about 15 minutes then they left. 15-20 minutes later here they come again. Trying to figure out what the heck that big green blob was. They ended up leaving and I'm thinking this wasn't the right time to use the bling. But they 2 does came up the edge of the field staring at the blind all the way trying to make it move. Little fawn came in at 10 yards down wind but momma stayed out. She slowly worked her way to 40 yds, 30 yds then 25yds. I knew she wouldn't come any closer to when she turned I drew and let her fly. Not the best shot in the world but I got her anyway. I didn't have quite enough clearance in the blind when my arm was extended and shot hi right, right behind the ear. She didn't drop but went 150 yds and expired on the edge of the field. What a rush though for the 1st one of the year. I got out of the blind in about 5 min and there was deer all over the place I never even saw. Also saw more rubs and the 2 bucks in daylight hours is encouraging. Gonna cut her up tonight.
