Louie

I am sorry for you loss.I know exactly how it feels. My father passed away last July.
At my dad's funeral we had a computer streming pics of his life. From a child with my grandparents to a teen with his first car.All the way up to his retirement party and his time in a nursing home.Above the computer we put a sign up "Remember the Dash". The "DASH" is all the memories we cherish between the numbers 1919-2009.We want to remember when we see the headstone how he touched and effected our lives and not just that he was 90 when he died.Your decisions and things you do are effected by how your father raised you so carry of his integrity and his life by the life you lead.My sympathy goes out to you and your family.

I am terribly sorry for your loss. As each yr passes it seems that a person spends more time reflecting on life and family and what is truly important. I'm happy for you in that you have chosen to devote the day to remebering the good times, definately the most important part of the healing process.

My thoughts are with you and your family at this tough time.

Mike, my condolences, I'm glad to see you celebrate his life!

Prayers to you and yours!

You have my sympathy Ironwood. Sounds like the healing process is on it's way with the laughing and the crying. That is GREAT!! My Mom left me way too early and her motto was everyday you should "cry just a little" and "laugh a lot". I pretty much do that. Made me think of her with your post. Thank you and my prayers will be going your way!!

Mike,... sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. I trust a lot of great memories of time together will live on....
