Wow. When does your gun season end Sask? At least he got out of the truck unlike some of the shotgunners up here.

I just don't see what you get out of the "hunt" for this. It is one thing, which I don't condone to whack a doe strictly for food, but this is not hunting.

AZ Hunter, would this be for using the truck as a rest? I am assuming that the truck is not parked on a road as I would not think Sask would put a camera over looking a road. Is it illegal to use a vehicle as a rest? (I am asking because I do not know so do not blast me for it. I do not recall ever reading this before.) Is this true for Iowa then too?
Sask is this guy trespassing as well, or is this from a spot you have a camera that others can hunt.

That's what I was wondering. If he's not on a public road it's perfectly legal here in Iowa.

No way I'd blast you for not knowing the rules in AZ, deeraddict! Its a very fair question. That is an AZ regulation. You cannot hunt from a vehicle, even if it is parked off of a road. That includes using it as a rest like this guy is doing. In fact, you can't shoot from or across a maintained road in Arizona, including several of our FS and BLM roads. I teach Hunter's Ed down here and we use pictures like that as examples of both poor ethics and violations of AZ hunting regs. Not surprisingly, people get busted all the time. In these cases our WM (COs in IA) can recommend violators to go in front of the Commission for review, as I suggested. It happens often. I forgot to add that there are a few Canadian provinces that also recognize the 35+ States' Pact and will not let you hunt if you lose your privileges in one of those states.

Wasn't expecting you to blast me over the question, I was expecting others to blast me for the simple question. I get what you're saying and agree completely. One thing I will say is when it comes to ethics to me this could be a gray area depending on the legality of resting on a vehicle like that. I would suggest resting on the vehicle if legal, gives a opportunity for a cleaner more ethical kill than a free hand shot.

He is not on a roadway and I can't see what he is shooting at. If it is a yote more power to him. Though I don't think you have many yotes up that way

The cam is simply overlooking a scrape along a road allowance between 2 fields. I do not have sole access, it's pretty much open for anyone who asks. I don't know what or if he shot at all. Just shared a picture that pretty much sums up this 5 week stretch of rifle season here.
