making climbing stands quiet

do you guys wrap the metal around your climber with anything to dampen the sound of a possibility of something hitting it and making noise? when you buy a new stand do u do anything to it before using it like leave it sit outside out of the rain for the smell from being packed to leave? thanks.

I put carpet on the platform of any new stand that I buy and also wrap cloth tape around any exposed metal that may come in contact with something that will make a noise.

A bead of silicon where the expanded metal meets the "floor joist" (each joist).
