Man it felt good!!!!!!

To be back in the stand. Nebraskas archery season started Thursday. I was able to make it out this morning for a couple of hours. With harvest gearing up, I wont have much time to hunt for a few weeks so I decided to go out this morning. Ive never hunted this early in the season. It was about 56 degrees and clear. I saw a doe two fawns and four small bucks. All came within 10 yards of my stand. One was a 6x4 that looks to have great potential. I also saw a big old mother coon and three babies. Like I said it just felt good to get back out after thinking about it for the last 9 1/2 months.

I second that Huskerbuck. I've been out for the past two days for the opener of the MN bow season. It's been awful warm with high winds and a full moon so activity has been really low but it was awesome to just be back in the stand. It's been 5 years for me!

For those of you wondering what I'm doing in MN when I said I was moving back to Iowa...it's still in the works. I've got a job interview in Prarie Du Chien next week..if that goes through, then we'll live across the river in good ol Iowa!! I can't wait to see what happens!
