March scrape

I was a little surprised to see this scrape had been freshened today. Yesterday we had some pretty hard rains so I'm 100% positive the tracks were fresh. I have circled the toe drag above the turkey feather and shed I had found. I also snapped a pic of the licking branch that is over the scrape. The picture doesn't show it too well but the ends of the branches are all twisted up.

Not too suprising..I had a shed out buck dogging a doe like it was the first week of november come right past me in the woods last week. I also saw a buck packing both sides today...a little fella but still had both sides.

Yep. I had video yesterday of a doe walking past the camera, next thing you see is a shed buck trailing her like a bird dog.

Ive always thought that scrapes were just a communicating spot, and in the fall, just get used more...who knows

i was looking for turkeys today and saw two scrapes that looked fresh.....
i suppose anything is possible

I've got a couple scrapes I put cams on that get tended all the way until about the last week of april or first week of may every year.
