It almost looks like this coyote has wire or a snare constricting him mid section? Maybe grazed?

Kind of odd, I wouldn't think a snare would have without done that without a major injury but not sure.

Any chance this could be a mangy dog? Picture gets blurry when trying to zoom in but the tails doesn’t look full and I’ve shot some over the years that look similar from mange.

I’m gonna say that’s a snare, I’ve had them chew the cable off before. Good to see a mangy one got away so he can spread it to his buddies.
