He's not huge, but I really liked the pose. He would be pretty tempting, I kind of hope he goes nocturnal for a year!
I'm guessing a 3 year old and 135"ish, anybody think different?
I would say high 140's gross, but I agree.....that guy could be a monster next year. Bucks like that are hard to pass but if he makes it you will be glad he did.

Exactly my thought.
I think this buck is fooling you guys a little. This pic happens to make him look bigger than he is in my opinion. The eye to nose measurment on my mounts is about 7.5 inches, which puts his G2's about 9" and G3's about 8". Brows are decent but the G4's are short. Maybe 16" wide and 30" of mass.
So, thats
G1's 7"
G2's 18"
G3's 16"
G4's 3"
Mains 44"
Spread 16"
Mass 30"
Stickers 3"
= 137"
Of course if I'm off just a half inch on each measurement he could go mid 140's I suppose. Might just have to wait and see what he looks like in person 20' below.
I know I've told this story before but I picked up a shed one spring that measured around 77 inches. The very next spring I found the same side off the same deer that scored around 94" gross. That buck packed on nearly 20" of growth on one antler in one year! It can happen, but you have to have nerves of steel to let em' walk.
I seem to have problems controlling my nerves sometimes.
I'd love to see him next year but I doubt his chances are very good. This area gets pounded pretty hard during every season and none of the guys I know would let him go. Still, you never know. I have about 30 pics of him and all are after dark so maybe he will stay under the radar. I dont think he will quite make my 140" limit but then again I am a sucker for sticker points and have 3 buck tags to fill...
You'll know what I decided if he shows up in the harvest section!
