An article in the Minnesota Outdoor News this week about the old doe that was harvested by a bow hunter in my area… What are the odds ?

This is in a zone with plenty of hunters ! I can’t believe she made it that many years… & avoiding the vehicles/predators!
In Minnesota… odds are she was lost

I shot an antlered doe in southeast Nebraska and sent her teeth in, came back at 15.5. I called the lab and they said they were confident within +/- 1 year and the oldest whitetail doe they'd ever sampled was 20.5 out of the northeast somewhere. Crazy!
Add- we ate her, never noticed anything different than the other deer we shot that year. The old = tough and gamey is bunk IMO

I'll see if I can find pics, I know I took some. "She" actually snapped part of her jaw at one point and it completely healed but left her molars in a mess.
