I started a website for Minnesota Whitetail hunters, but is open to all. After discussing this with OneCam I have decided to post a link.

minnesotawhitetails.com

The site has a calendar of MN events and season info, a forum, a few articles and a few other items are on there also.

As we all know this is a great community.

My site is not meant to take any members away from the Iowawhitetail.com site. Instead it is meant to be used in addition to this site for anyone interested in deer hunting in Minnesota or anywhere.

I hope everyone is open to the idea that having more information is better and I hope everyone will visit.

Thanks for all the support from my fellow iowawhitetail.com members.

Thanks to all that have registered.

If anyone has any suggestions on content or anything else please let me know.

I got notices that some registrants confirmation email was being reported by their mail server as spam - so if you do not get the email please let me know and I will activate your account.

MNHunter, you may want to subscribe to our PMA conference. (not being rude here) I know without the active enrollment we have this site would struggle to pay the bills. Your site looks great and with enough members, introducing a Paid Conference area may aid you in developing it in to becoming better and better.

Nice Job. I checked it out and will register soon. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how much there is to talk about regarding MN hunting. Unless you like to discuss Feisty Forkhorns and Spicy Spike bucks the only thing to talk about is what could be!!!

I am not sure where you hunt in Minnesota, but there are nice bucks all over the State.

It looks as though the DNR is going to be trying some new management practices soon, which I hope will help with some hunters harvesting the young bucks.

A few years of QDM will help on anyone's property.

BTW Rudd - I am now a PMA Member - I am willing to support any whitetail site that is dedicated to trying to help the hunting community and the whitetail herd. (that is what I am trying to do with minnesotawhitetails.com )

MNHunter...from what I see, the folks want more bucks but the majority of the hunters are not willing to change the current regulations to try and make that happen. IMO, the biologist know what is best for the herd and what would need to be changed in order to accomplish the desired results...that is where the decision should be based from...not the hunters as most of them are the weekend warriors with no experience in deer management. Missouri has the same problem.

If every state mimiked Iowa's season structure and made a few changes in buck restrictions.....it would sure take a load off the NR influx into the state each fall.

Welcome aboard MNHunter. I am sure it is money well spent. It looks like you have a great start on your site. Does Minnesota have a program like Iowa Bowhunters Association? I know IW.com gets some great exposure and new members from advertising in their Quarterly magazine.

MNHunter, I was being a bit facetious about our hunting up here but it could be much better. The genetics are here and we have far more habitat than Iowa so I'm left wondering what could be. Anyway, I do most of my hunting in Wi when I don't get lucky and draw an Iowa tag. I did however manage a nice 8 pointer near St. Francis, MN back in September.

Rudd - We have Minnesota Bowhunters Inc. and Minnesota Deer Hunters Association.
Thanks for the input - I am always open to constructive ideas.

MN Slick - You and I know there has to be something done, that is why the Bluffland Whitetails Association and Minnesota QDM Inc. are important to support.

We have plenty of genetics and habitat, what we need are changes in the regulations and hunter education on why QDM is important.
