Well said Nacho! I agree that some of the comments were crude(mine included), but all in good fun.
The first post was asking point blank what peoples opinions are on killing does with fawns and guys gave their response. If that certain person feels guilty or can't stomach killing a doe with a fawn than that is his perrogative and I agree he should not be criticized for it. BUT... It is my opinion that our society has become soft and people are way to "politically correct" nowadays. WE HUNT TO KILL plain and simple. If that wasn't the case we would all just join the Audubon society and go out with cameras and binoculars to watch the animals. There is nothing wrong with killing animals and we as hunters shouldn't feel bad for who we are and what we do! I agree that the animals deserve respect and a prayer of thanks should be given for each kill, but we are the supreme predator in the world and there is no need to feel bad for that.
I have a problem with people who are always looking over their shoulder feeling that they should be ashamed to be a hunter. The media and the liberal left wing tree huggers have made people believe that it is wrong to hunt and eat meat and kill an animal and fly a flag, and say a prayer in public, etc... Well, I'm damn proud to be a hunter and support the outdoor industry and wear my camo hat in public. When God told Peter to "Arise, Kill, and Eat" in the bible, do you think he meant, don't shoot the doe if she has a fawn? Point being, animals were placed here for mans use and consumption, and there is no reason to feel bad about! To each their own and there is nothing wrong with taking a knee and feeling thankful for a kill, but don't take the stance that we are all murderers and "macho men". because we are willing to take a life. I respectfully disagree with your point of view Turtleshell
