Montana trout/ camping trip

Went to Montana for the first time this summer. Had a great time camping and fishing! We had super weather the whole week. Caught a lot of trout and saw plenty of wildlife. As you all know, pictures sometimes just does not do justice to the real thing but I thought I would share some with you.

What part of montana did you visit? Looks like a heck of a good time. If I'm not mistaken it looks like you had some cutthroats there. I usually take a trip out there each summer to do some backpacking and fly fishing but couldn't make it this year Oh well I guess I'll just have to wait till next year. BTW nice catch!

My friend lives in Bozeman and we could have fished anywhere in that area and caught fish but we chose to head west a couple of hours. We mainly fished the Big Hole region.

The trout in the pics are brook trout. We did catch a lot of cutthroat but we caught those on a night fishing trip where we verticle jigged under a fishing light.

Didn't fish the Galitine (sp). It looked great but there were just too many people fishing it and too many floaters. I preferred the smaller streams.
