Roomate got these pictures from one of his trail cameras last weekend. I thought it looked pretty neat. He is growing some quality whitetails in his area and I can't wait to see what this deer will be like in a few years.
If it was an antlered doe, most likely it would not have the testosterone levels to drop the anlters correctly and they would be in velvet all year long. If this did occur, the doe would probably get frostbite on the antlers and it would be black. Then, next year, they would continue to grow. That is what I have heard about antlered does.
Well, the deer didn't make it past opening shotgun season. It was taken by my roomates neighbors and it was buck. It appeared that this was the deer's first rack. I wish I coulda seen what it would have looked like in a couple years.
