A bit steep on your price, but thats just me... Might wanna look around and compare it to something new that somebody could buy at say, a department store?

Yeah, I think I saw BP advertising the 12 guage combo for $299 the other day. I have the 12 guage combo and couldn't get any bites at $225 (of course, we're talking about MI's economy, so...). Just thought I would give ya a jumping off point as all. Good luck!

I'll be honest with ya kid, I think to get this thing sold you're really going to have to lower the price.... or find a sucker

I'm not saying your shotgun isn't in great shape or that you didn't take care of it, but Mossberg 500s are like Rem 870s. They're a dime a dozen, especially used ones. I don't know what you paid for your's and I'm not asking, but the prices you listed seem more in line with a new one.

Yea... i can understand that... Ive been offered $250... but.. idk.. its hard to let go of your first gun.. and yes.. i know many of you say.. its ur first gun.. hold onto it... well crap.. im not sure what to do now!

I guess i can work all summer next year and hope to save for a muzzleloader.. i could actually get the money with 2 weeks... i think thats what ill do! Thanx guys!

Heck if you are waiting for next summer, why not ask for it for x-mas and just ask for gift certificates to the store you plan on buying it from. Even your b-day.

Not trying to give away my secrets or anything

You're better off trading it in for something at either a private dealer at a gun show or trying to trade in at Scheels. Timekiller's right, I could google Mossberg 500 and find about 30 all over on craigslist. Don't mean to put ya down but when I was younger and got my first shotgun we went to Kmart and bought a Mossberg 500 12 ga. 3" with both barrels for $225. But keep trying, if I were you, I'd hit the person who offered $250 up and see if they're still interested.

I might have to do that! But we will see.. i really want a muzzleloader! i had sooo many chances at big bucks this year within muzzleloading range.. but not for my shotgun! So i'd like to make a few adjustments!

Any recommendations on a cheaper.. but good quality muzzleloader?

Jeez kid what are you wanting to buy, a gold plated M/L

Look at the Omega, good quality and looks like the prices are dropping because of the new Icon (Or whatever they are calling it)

Just make sure you get a stainless steel barrell.

With a M/L the loads are so corrosive that if you dont get a stainless steel barrel you are fighting a loosing battle if you dont get it cleaned thoroughly or in a timely matter if you get lazy like me plus they look better

I wouldnt say a stainless ML won't rust, because I have owned several that prove they will. But, they dont rust nearly as easily as the blued ones do, you can almost hear them rusting. Also, I had more rust problems with Pyrodex than with Triple 7. Maybe its just me.

Stainless is the only way to go. Yes they will still rust if you don't clean them. Just don't make the mistake of leaving them loaded over the end of the season and get them out to look at the beginning of summer.. That sucked.... Let's just say a drill bit was involved.
