Another aspect of it I kind of feel has to do with how you get into the tree. Ive been 25 foot up a tree, that was just perfect no way a deer would notice me, yet they would look up occaisionally and the only thing I think it is, where i hunt im forced to use those dang climbing sticks, the deer notice them and realize something is out of place, they slowly follow the out of place object all the way up to where you are perched. Ive noticed when i hunt pine trees, or other trees where i just climb the branches, that effect of them just looking up at you seems to barely ever happen, unless im in a dinky tree, and the blob effect is happening. I know when i walk through the woods and notice climbing sticks or steps i look up
maybe deer do too
