Muck vs rubber boots?

My old rubber boots are not very comfortable. I have been thinking about getting a pair of Muck boots. I didn't realize that they made so many different lines. They seem nice and light and if they breath like they say they do I think they should work out nice. Some cons I have found are that they might not be quite as durable and get holes / snags in them? What are opinions on Muck boots? Which line specifically do you prefer? Just looking at them in catalogs I think that the woody sport or the artic sport might be decent priced options. Any opinions would be great. THX

I have the woody elite I think is what they are called and love them. Very comfy and warm.

I have heard guys having problems with getting holes the uppers.

I have 2 versions...the Woody Max and the Wetland Field. The first is a heavier boot for treestand hunting in colder weather, and the second is lighter weight for times when it's not as cold and/or I'm going to be doing a lot of walking. I've had them for about a year, and got them as an alternative to traditional rubber boots that I could never seem to keep from developing holes in the ankle area. These seem to be much better designed in that area. I have not gotten any holes in the uppers yet, and they are very comfortable. So far I'd give them an excellent rating :way:

Comfy boots. My only complaint is with the uppers... mine seem to grab a lot stickers and burrs.

Best boots I have ever owned. I have one pair that I use exclusively for Deer hunting and a second pair that I have beat the tar out of hunting everything from turkeys to geese to deer. This pair I have had for five years and no complaints, no holes, etc. and I have really worked them over.

Both pairs are Woody Max, check ebay there are a couple of Muck Dealers on there and you can usually get them for 30-40 cheaper than the local store.

LaCrosse ATS 1200 gram thinsulate. About $120 for a pair but I take good care of mine and get 3-4 seasons out of them easily. I can wear them until temps hit single digits, then I switch to a heavy liner boot.

Love the comfort of the Muck would love them more if they had one with a tougher upper for shed hunting etc. I have the artic and the woody. :D

Just looked at the website and looks like they now have some durable upper options. Looks like they are proud of them.

I have a pair of woody max and love them. I did get in a fight with a barbed wire fence wearing them and the fence obviously won but most boots would have lost this battle. Best boots I have ever worn buy far
