Multiflora Rose...Is there any benefit in keeping it?

Do wildlife (specifically deer and turkeys) gain anything from multiflora rose or should it be eradicated? The same for prickly ash. Both of these have taken over much of my small woodlot. Wondering if I should wage war on both in favor of something better.

Kill it! MFR is no good.... it's a real MF.
MFR is awful and terribly aggressive. Agreed with above, the only exception being if it is the only ground level cover in your timber, you may consider leaving pockets of it until you are ready to get some TSI done. Make sure you kill it first before TSI so it is accessible. You dont want to wait until after hinge cutting, etc.

Herbicide and fire are very effective in controlling it.

And obviously, if you have good, native understory cover and plenty of browse, wage war on it! The end goal, regardless of current circumstances, is to eradicate it.
