Heres before and after pics of the deer I took on 11-18. Hunted 14 days strait, passing up many young bucks of which several were in the 130-140 range. Passed a couple good 5x5's also including a character filled "crabclaw" buck that probably would have scored better then this buck. His short brow tines are what saved his life.
Anyway, this deer scores mid-150's and is an old veteran of many seasons. Teeth were to the gum line, backbone protruded, ears all torn up and several facial scars. I'm about positive he wouldn't have made the winter.
