My 1st Wrigley Experience

Seth

Active Member
On June 1st I went to my first professional sporting event: A Cubs/Rockies game at historic Wrigley field. I went with my girlfriend, her sister, and her brother-in-law. Her B-I-L is kindof a big shot at ADM working with the stocks and such stuff that I don't understand a whole lot.

Anyways, a broker he knows in Chi-town GAVE us 4 tickets in the 6TH ROW, just off to the left of HOME friggin' PLATE! We got some good pictures and had an absolute blast. Weather was perfect and the beer was delicious. By the time we got into the ballpark I'd had enough in me not to care the beers were $6.25. $100 sure goes fast.

I proudly represented IAWhitetail in the land of Lincoln. Too bad the peanuts guys ruined the picture. All part of the experience I guess

Seeing as how we were so close I figured I might have a shot at being on TV. So what does a dumb hillbilly like me do with an opportunity like that?? Well duh, wear the blazest blaze orange hat money can buy. Instead of "Where's Waldo" lets play "Where's the redneck amongst all the rich people"

LOoks like you had fun. Living the life of the high rollers. You should start living like that all the time/forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

$6.25 and its not even in 16oz plastic bottles...Ooooo... Bummer. I have paid 6.00 and 6.50 but always for plastic bottles.

Uhhh, only three cups in your stack? Tell me the other 12 were under your seat.

I used to love to go to Wrigley. Then it got to be way too crowded for me and the attitude of everybody in the park was pushy. Everybody seemed to think their good time was more important than my good time. But if you have never experienced Wrigley, ya gotta do it.

And Edmonds has come around a little bit.

Awesome experience being around Wrigleyville. My dream summer would be to live near there and just hang out for the whole summer (maybe into October /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif).
We'll be there in about a month-and-half, can't wait!

Always wanted to go...just never have. Looks like a blast, I kind of want to sit in the outfield. I too would have more cups.

I was there that day. Had to leave in the top of five to catch my flight. I did get to see the three previous games though. My wife and I have tried to make at least one series there every year for the last few years. It should definately be on the must do list if you have never been. Oh BTW Heart Surgeon, I was diectly behind you that day in the upper deck.

GO CUBS GO

And for the record I had alot more cups scattered around my seat.
