I found a doe within about 10 yards of a creek on Sunday. Almost totally decayed, but you could tell that nothing bothered the carcass. I figure this was EHD...Gentry County MO.

EHD has been brutal in Southern Missouri this year.
We've found a buck good buck and six does so far dead in or
near the ponds or creeks. The MDC agent that came out to
take tissue samples from the buck said they estimate that
for every deer you find there are three you don't.

This weekend we pulled some cards from our cams and
have does with no fawns or lone fawns wandering back
forth in the area their mother died.
Sorry you lost such a nice buck. Unfortunate for all.
