Was standing in my stand kicking myself in the butt for getting busted by a nice buck hitting my ground scent. Then I seen this guy cruising hit him with three grunt calls and he was coming. Worked a scrape for a bit which let me draw back then at 16 I got my shot. I didn’t try to stop as he was moving fairly slow and it lead to me hitting him back.
After finding my arrow smelling and looking bad I backed out for the night and got some help. Found him the next morning not far away, I believe I got one lung and then gut as he was slightly quartering towards me.
Found his left side last year and passed him also. He’s my biggest yet and by far the most proud as it feels like a reward for watching him for years seeing him in my plots all the time and all the history coming together.
