Thanks guys I appreciate all the comments. This was my first spot and stalk deer with the muzzy. We were driving from one location to another and my brother spotted these tall white tines walking in the switch grass. He dropped me off and he went around the section to make a stand. So, I started trailing this deer tracks in the mud and ended up getting withing 5 yards of him before he or I knew it. He got up and took off and I wasnt about to make a shot like that so I took off after him. The deer ended up being with 2 other bucks and 8 does. I followed there trail which led to a wide creek, and without a hesitation I grabbed everything out of my pockets and put the gun above my head and crossed. As soon as I cleared the dike I was amazed to see that he and one doe were the only ones that stayed behind. I took a knee and fired......miss. But the deer didn't know what to do he was in a gully and couldn't tell where the shot came from. I reloaded and took another shot, and down in his tracks he went.
