My nephew's father is not a bowhunter, so when he wanted to start bowhunting, I was more than pleased. Since I don't have children of my own, it was a learning experience for both of us. I couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments. Unfortunately, I wasn't with him on his first buck, but that's ok, still proud. He didn't realize what he had shot until he called me on the cell. He called me and said he had shot an 8 point with a point on the right side pointing toward the ground. Once I explained what he had, you could definitely hear a change in his voice.
