The Hunt Never Ends....
I have been observing many deer this year around my house, and in another county that I bowhunt. One thing that I have noticed is the number of does that have fawns. On one farm that I bow hunt I saw 11 does in an alfalfa field. Out of the 11 does, only one doe had fawns. This seemed very strange to me that only one out of 11 does had fawns. This was two weeks ago that I viewed this. Also, I have been watching a group of 6 does eating in an alfalfa field by my house which is 40 miles from the other property in which I have been viewing does. Not a single one of these 6 does had a fawn with it. Do any of you think that this is strange that none of these does have fawns? In both areas the Buck to Doe ratio is fairly in check. What could cause this? Have any of you been noticing this?
