Dear Troy,
I understand your concerns at inviting nonresident landowners to sit at the table and vote as these hard decisions are made. At the same time we cannot ignore the ownership of property or property rights in the state.
I would like to suggest possible compromise. Would it be reasonable to bring the nonresident landowners in as “ex officio” members…no voting rights, but still get to be heard. It is possible that agreement with the majority can be reached. I do not support people taking advantage of Iowans’ good will and fair play.
Thanks so much for contacting me on this issue.
Best,
Linda

they do NOT deserve a vote, and they do not deserve to be heard. where are the groups representing the hunters of iowa? the iowa bowhunters are the only group on the committee. thousands upon thousands of hunters in this state, and only ONE group is invited to be heard?!?
this whole "avisory" committee is skewd away from those seeking what is best for iowa, iowans, and what is best for the deer herd, and it slanted in favor of those willing to descimate one of iowa's greatest natural resources, for personal profit and gain

i was so pissed off, i forgot to sign it

I will not support what the Friends of Iowa are trying to do. I am aware they are from out-of-state and are using deceptive tactics to push an agenda that is not in the best interest of Iowa hunters or sportsmen.
