They worked well last year for me. I've only seen one deer shot with them and that one was in the boiler room. Left a hell of a hole and a good blood trail.

Great head. The tension will fool you and no problem opening on testing. I have shot it numerous times in a block, pulled, pushed back in and again. I also hated the collars and this is my favorite mechanical right now. I think you'll like them. Found buck I shot with it late last year so no wound evidence to study but it is very tough and solid design.

Plenty of blood and the hole is exactly what it was advertised as. Durable head too.
