These people are a growing problem of uninfomed individuals......the information on the site is inaccurate and full of crap

This shows just what we are up against. So much Propoganda, and Mis-Information, it's terrible. I know it does little good, but I just had to email some comments to their public relations. I said I do not hunt for "Fun", as they keep saying. Wildlife is a precious gift from the Almighty, and I thank HIM when HE allows me to harvest some. They most likely don't believe in an Almighty either.

Here's one example of contradiction.

"After 20 years of heavy deer hunting at the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge in New Jersey, for example, only one percent of the deer population lived longer than four years, and fewer than ten percent lived longer than three years. In a naturally regulated population, deer often live twelve years or longer."

OK where are all these deer going if they're allowed to populate for another 8 to 9 years? I guess they prefer starvation, desease and vehicle collisions over hunting. I just got steamed reading it, they're rediculous.

It really gets my blood boiling. There really isn't a point in trying to change some of these people. People will read what they want to read and if that's what they want to hear, those are the people that will read the material. I don't agree at all with the article. They have no documentation to any of their studies and if there actually were any studies performed, they were biased and therefore unscientific. The thing that needs to be realized in this article is that all of this information is unfounded and should not be allowed to be published. Hoever, there is that 1st amendment and I just don't think it is right to print material that mis-informs the public. It makes them look bad and makes us look bad as hunters. All I can hope for is that more people don't share this view than not. I just don't understand how these people can think that humans are not a part of the food chain. After all, humans have been on the earth just as long as animals have and it is foolish not to think that humans aren't part of the food chain as they always have been. Well, I am done venting. All I can do is go and have myself a great time enjoying the outdoors as God intended.

I didn't read the article myself but I can imagine what it says. I not only hunt but I rodeo as well and the Humane society, PETA and other orgs. have been trying to discontinue that wonderful sport as well. As rodeo goes our motto is to take a non-fan to an event and show them what the sport is really about. So my suggestion is to take a non-hunter out and get them to see the beauty, excitement, and unharmful benefits that hunting has. And as a hunter myself it makes putting a good shot on an animal that much more important.
