D1 wrestling championships start today at 10 am.

Party at my house tomorrow morning when it's being televised on ESPN.

I clicked on this post thinking "oh great, more talk about bubble bouncers". I didnt look at who posted this. If I had looked at who posted this at first I would have known it wasnt about that crappy sport only tall people play. A bunch of guys I know are already in St. Louis, including my Dad. Man am I jelous, I would love to go watch it. I went the last time it was in Cedar Falls. I think the hawks will have one champ,Metcalf. I predict Mark Perry doesnt make top 6. He will somehow be involved in some controversy over stalling or a potentially dangerous move. The guy just makes me sick, no offense, no shots. Great wrestler, he just doesnt fit the hawkeye mold.
On a different note, watch out for the clones. I predict there will be a cat fight for the top spot between Iowa, ISU, and Minny.
 
Thanks for the link Jerad...too bad I didn't find this until just now. I'm going to have to watch the Drake game because they're televising it here at work.
 
4 of 6 to the finals... too bad for Keddy and Fields. Well, too bad for Keddy, he went hard and got beat on a questionable call. Fields just sat there and took it from a guy he beat twice already this year.
 
wow, the Hawks really poured it on, clinching the team race tonight. If it wasnt for church I would have been able to see it on ESPNU. From the hawk message boards it sounds like my favorite wrestler, Perry may have been a little unsportsmanlike after his match. What happened?
 
He had a controversial 2 point take down with 1 second left. They called it as time ran out and the crowd booed.

Then Perry got up and blew them all a kiss not once... but twice.

I laughed.
 
I am pretty miffed, I just found out that I get to spend tomorrow evening with my in laws for supper... I am missing the friggin championships. I hope they have video on hawkeyesports.com or youtube.

Limb, you might have to be sending me the text messages tomorrow rather than the other way around.
 
Caught Metcalf and Perry, great matches. Too bad Slaton got stuck as quickly as he did though.

I can't believe Perry wrestled through hurting his knee again. Hopefully it isn't too bad.
 
Yeah, the steel chair that will be the Hawkeyes dominance for years to come.

The ISU boy went home beat, though he done pretty good and will be a top contender again next year. Maybe he can get 2nd place for the 3rd year in a row or something.
