My week at the cabin started a little rough.Hunted with my bow, finally got a bird that was interested in my calls. Couldn't believe that he came across the big valley, all of a sudden he was 10 yds from the blind.I made what I thought was a very good shot, he ran about 50 yds and just lay down by the edge of the ravine, by the time I'd got out of the blind he'd went over the edge. I followed some blood and feathers and sure enough there he was.I put the glasses on him, no movement so down the hill I started at 30 yds the head came up and he started to wobble away and the next thing I know he jumps up in the air, sets his wings & glides down the valley to never be seen again.
I spent a couple hours looking but you talk about a needle in a haystack.
So the next day I grab the 3" mag and 4th season tag and take this tom.
24.25 lbs.
9.5' beard
7/8 & 1" spurs.
You like the camo? I figure if I wear enough different kinds something will match the cover.
