NE Iowa Update????

It has been killing me being at work all week.... I am suffering from some serious bowhunting withdrawal !!!! Can anyone who has been out this week in the NE Iowa area give me an update?? Have you seen many mature bucks cruising during midday? What kind of mature buck activity are you seeing? I can't wait to get back out this weekend

I had a guy bring in a nice 160 class buck this afternoon. Said it came in to a doe bleat this morning. I have been out after the skin heads and that's about all I'm seeing. Went out on a short shining trip with the video camera last night and had 2 150" bucks beating the he// out of eachother at 30 yds. Then from about 400 yds away came a booner and taught both of them a lesson and stole their lady. All of this on video tape. I've never seen anything like it. I think a lot of them are paired up but it's still really good up here. Temps are perfect and the snow cover is great. Sounds like rain and snow in the morning and snow in the afternoon. I'll be out tomorrow afternoon and Sunday afternoon. I think it will be some great hunting. Good luck and if your around Waukon stop in Sportsmen's Unlimited.

I've been wondering the same thing. Hav'nt been out since Monday and been in St Louis for a few days. I'll be in the stand this weekend though, good or bad.

I was out earlier in the week. Only saw 1.5 year olds and does. Very little movement in the spots I was at.

Its been crazy.....I sat in my tree-stand for an hour one night....HOLY CRAP lots of does and a MONSTER BUCK. He was huge! O that got me really really excited! He was a 10+. Its wild up here...
