Nebraska Turkey!

Well we had a hard hunt in Nebraska, but we were able to fill three out of our four tags. We could have bought 3 each, but since we were hunting land that we had never seen and had no leads to go on, we decided to just buy two each and if we were able to fill those early we could buy our last tag.

A little double beard action!

My second Tom. I shot it in the ten ring at 10 yards and he still ran 200 yards. We actually had to blood trail him. After I shot him the other two toms chased him so I think that is why he ran so fan.

Thomas called it scouting I called it playing!

1st bird. I shot just under 30 yards. He came in with 40 other birds and I shot him with 9 minutes of legal shooting light. He did a back flip and never moved another inch.

Thomas had to defend his DSD jake, when this and 5 other young gobblers came in to beat him down!!!

It was an amazing trip, my brother. With as tough as it was, I'm pretty happy to have shot what I did! Now I gotta find an excuse to get back there and fill this remaining tag! :D

Congrats boys. Great to see the first gobblers of the year go down. Sounds like a tough but rewarding trip.

Great job guys. My son and I are heading to Nebraska on Wednesday afternoon to see if we can stick a few longbeards. Hopefully we will have some pics to share next week.

Looks great. Gongrats! One question, though. Can you point out which one is the turkey in that last picture? :D
