nebraska turkeys merriams

i was looking into hunting in nebraska this fall or next spring for turkey's. i was wandering how hard it is to find a good place to hunt? sounds like u need to to hunt on private land.i don't know much about hunting outside iowa. any help would be appreciated.

A bunch of Ne. public ground has birds. Some are heavily hunted, some are not. In the south central part of the state I would try around Harlan county reservoir. There are huge numbers of birds there. It gets hunted by quite a few but is such a large area you should be able to find a place all to yourself. Fisherman gate areas on the west end are good as is around prariedog cove and south. Here's the game and parks web site. It has plenty of info for you.
