Just wondering if there was anything out there for companies/businesses to sponsor an archery program at school. I teach in the high school, and sharing my videos/talking so much archery here the kids/teachers want to start an archery club where we get together and teach archery and shoot a couple times per month.

I've seen those Mathews Genesis compound bows that some clubs have and heard that sometimes they get them donated. I just am looking for possible connections in which something like this could happen for our kids at school. They are super pumped to hear that we are even thinking about starting..

Thoughts anyone?? Or has anyone done anything like this?

Thanks in advance!

Matt, that is the setup we use at Wildwood Hills Ranch. The bows work great for all sizes of kids, and are easy to maintain. The kevlar backstop does a great job of stopping errant arrows (if not stretched tight). Wish you could come to one of our Bounceback events at the ranch this fall and winter to see the program in action.

We recently started the program at our middle school. I went to a one-day training last winter to become a certified instructor.

We also got a grant that covered half the cost of bows and equipment.

Here is the guy you need to get ahold of, he did the training:

i would say, get an archery in schools program started. then, offer an after school program for kids that are interested to continue shooting
