Since the harvest photos have dropped off a little bit I just thought I would post these pictures here. I cannot guarantee the acurracy of this info, but I received an email yesterday with this buck. The story was that it was harvested this past fall in Kentucky, rough score of 280 B&C, smashing the old state record of 260 which only held for 2 years. Check out this narly looking rack!

It looks like a blooming onion from the Outback Steakhouse to me!!

He looks like Medussa (you know the snakes on the head lady from Greek mythology...NO,...Oh well!)

I'd be willing to bet that when that deer gets "officially" scored that it won't come out very well. Looks like a extreme cactus buck. Where are the main beams at?

I was actually thinking the same thing as Muddy, looks like " a cactus" to me too. With that said, if I were walking in some field this weekend and saw that right side sticking out of the snow I may just "shed my pants".

I was thinkin the same thing as muddy and sask don't see any main beams. freaky lookin thing tho

Its not a state record...it cannot be entered into B&C because of the fact its a cactus buck...just my 2 cents...

I agree as far as it being a cactus buck based on the growth but most cactus bucks never shed the velvet....it looks like he did.

I agree that the thing is a little on the odd side, but I'm sure I could find a place for him on the wall. There was more to the email I got but I couldn't read it for some reason until I opened the email on my work computer.

Just a couple other details..it field dressed at 215, and North American Whitetail will produce the story in the upcoming future. It will be interesting to see what it really scores and if it really is the new state record.

Since Alaskan is the king of guessing scores, what do you come up with Kevin? If I count the last tall points as main beams (I don't think they are) I come up with around 250 inches gross.

268 3/8

I might be off a tid bit. I really wished you wouldn't have broughtn' up my name as this one made my brain scramble, it will be interesting. We will find out in a few months though.
