What do you think of when you see railroad tracks through a hunting ground. I think of the hole in the horn buck and monsters.
This is a new property I picked up for the '05 season. Its only 52 acres but It is very isolated and In what I like to call the Big Buck area of Fairfield County Ohio. I shot my deer approx 5 miles from this farm, last year. All 3 pictures are taken from standing in one spot. Looking to the left, straight and to the right. The railroad creates a funnel from the sharp bankes and edge lines on its sides. It appears the deer are primarily crossing uder the bridge, wich you can see in the distance. I jumped a 135-140 inch deer scouting Thursday, and he headed for the bridge. I located a tree there ideal for our primary NW wind. Come November its on like donkey kong!
