Don't know if anyone here has seen the biggest buck taken in the world last Saturday yet but here is the link. See what you guys think. Way to go Jim.. Congrats .. Hope to see that buck in person soon.... Magnumsportsx.com

Great Buck! With a Razortec none the less!

After 60 day drying period and the deductions, doubt it will hold up with the net score. Sure is a great buck though.

Yep, saw in this conference a few days ago. Great great buck but...I don't see it as world record. Too many deductions to make it as a typical but, who knows. It sure would be neat if it makes it.

This buck was registered in the proshop of my hometown....it will be a new "velvet" world record....Nice deer!!!

Heard this morning, Wed, that this deer is now in the possession of the MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESCOURSES. Apparently, as I was TOLD in a MN store this morning that it was CONFISCATED under some reports of discharging a FIREARM( BOW) in the city limits and the deer was retrieved accross private property with out permission to do so.

First--This deer was shot LEGALLY, on land where the hunter had permission---As a hunter, he did his job and followed the rules to a "T". Hats off for a job well done. Best I can gather everything was legal.

Neighbors had been hand feeding this deer for 5 years, supposedly. And they rode the DNR's rear so bad they had to react.

Hunter was accused of discharging a firearm, bow is considered a firearm in this city?????

It just goes to prove the the general, non huntung, public can influence outcome of such a great feat..By the way no charges were filed against the hunter--all were dropped, THEY just confiscated the rack---THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMMMM!!!!!
Any body else heard anything about this?
I heard this story from LaCresent MN all the way to Red Wing MN from 4 different sporting goods stores.

So the ball starts to roll. It seems every year, there is some controversy over a big deer. If what M350 says is true, the rack was confiscated thought the hunter took the buck legally, it just goes to show you that none of our deer racks are safe if the DNR wants it. Had this been a 150 class 10, the hunter would likely still have the rack. Are these the same natural resources managers that say we need to kill more deer? (I know this is MN but seems to hold true for every state). Keep us posted M350 if you hear more on the details.......

Couldn't get through to Geoff at Magnum Sports tonight but I will Definately be calling in the A.M. to see whats up. Also if you try to pull up the photo from the top of this post its gone--"out of respect for the hunters privacy"
Shredder, it's just par for the course and it does definately STINK if it is true. Like I posted last I heard the same story from 4 different business owners today---don't know how they all came up with the same story on their own.

Finally got through to Magnum Sports and the story is so twisted that the hunters father has even been getting phone calls asking how his son is enjoying "jail time." Jim, the hunter has been getting so many phone calls , he has just decided to lay low for 60 days. RACK WAS NOT CONFISCATED-but the talk has slowed down the hasseling of the hunter.
