New Quivers

[Shovelbuck]

A while back I'd posted that I was wanting to make or have made a woven cane quiver. After giving it some thought and a bit of work these are what I came up with.

They were fun to build and should work just fine for hunting and stump shooting.

Those my man, are fargin' awesome! Beautiful work as always!!! I'd be afraid to take them out of the house though......looks like you've got a-lot of time and energy in them.

How long did it take to make one of them?

Very-Very nice. Did you do the caning or use woven mats? I had a friend who used to make woven baskets from wooden slats, reeds, and cane and also did finger weaving for sashes and such. I haven't seen any thing that nice since she died a few years ago. Your's are absoultely beautiful!

bowmaker, I used woven mats from VanDykes restorers. They worked out nicely.

I've met the man, I have shook the mans hand, trust me, you really really really wouldn't want to see him naked, running or otherwise. I suppose if he did run through the woods naked, there would be reports that Grizzlys have returned to vast emptyness that is known as central Nebraska.

Bonker, this may take a while but I will be working on a photo of just myself and a quiver just for you. The hard part is going to be making it acceptable to post here for you.
I know deep down you want to see this.
