Gobblers Can't Resist The New Squealing Hen Turkey Call

The new Squealing Hen Call from Hunter's Specialties® reproduces the sound a hen turkey makes during breeding, triggering an internal frenzied response from gobblers to seek and find the source of the sound. This revolutionary call is the first true new innovation in turkey calling in years.

The Squealing Hen call was developed by Hunter's Specialties Pro Staff member Eddie Salter. "My family raised turkeys when I was a kid," said Salter. "Watching the behavior of our pen raised birds helped me learn about turkey vocalizations. I often heard the hen make the squealing sound during breeding, so I started experimenting with calling wild birds using the squeal and had a lot of success. Now turkey hunters have an easy to use call that reproduces that same sound."

The call is easy to operate. Simply blow into the call while depressing the lever. This puts pressure on the internal Infinity Latex® reed and the authentic high pitched breeding hen sound is produced.

Gobblers are driven to come in and check out the sound, which appeals to both breeding and territorial instincts. The Squealing Hen works great in areas that have seen a lot of hunting pressure, where birds have become extremely wary or conditioned to conventional calls.

The Squealing Hen is field tested and approved by the Hunter's Specialties Pro Staff team and will make a valuable addition to any turkey hunter's arsenal of calls this spring.

The Squealing Hen sells for a suggested retail price of $21.99.

I agree AZ, I'm intrigued and would like to see/hear some video proof to be honest. Many people thought that The Can and The Buck Roar were gimmicks until some true cookers fell for their sweet sounds.

I'll let Limb field test it first then make a decision.

OK, went to the HS web site and the video provided did not hook me, I'm still going to wait for Limb to field test it.

I'll have to check out the HS website. Good call, Muddy. In addition to The Can and The Buck Roar, the simple foam coozie was laughed at first and now look...

hunters are such fools for gimmicks wonder how the cruncher sales were this fall

I called in a 350 inch 8 point, a 500lb bear, 2 cougars, and multiple world record class fox squirrels in one morning with my cruncher this fall, although I think the cougars were just looking for the squirrels? BEST product ever! :drink2:

What a joke! You'll more than likly call in a coyote or two. That's nothing more than a rabbit in distress call.

I have an elk bugle call that is the exact same design. I wonder if it works for duckbill platypus??

Ok, I just looked at the video on HS. I agree with you, 180...it sounds alot like a rabbit in distress call, although I think its a novel idea. I'll probably wait for Muddy to wait for Limb to try it out and then see what happens.

I have had a lot of turks do the nasty in front of me and i have never heard this noise. I did however hear the buck growl numerous times before the call came out and I hve heard the CAN noise many times!

I won't be buying one of these this year..... Limb, make it work!!!

Looks exactly like the end piece in one of my coyote howlers.. I think its orginal creation was meant for an elk call like huntemup said. I suppose I would agree it's pretty universal though. I can make some sweet cow calls with it, coyote howls, and the beginning part of a bugle

I agree 100%.

Definite gimmick here IMHO.

I have seen Eddie in many videos and have never seen him use a sound like this until now.
Wonder what has taken him so long to develop it if he always knew the sound would work to bring turkeys in.

Limb I have a deer whistle and no scent for turkeys you can make work also. :drink2:

I would make that call if I was getting treated like a gobbler treats a hen. Nothing like standing on someones back and forcin their face in the ground to demonstrate true love.

Man, HS is really diggin' a hole for themselves with all these ridiculous gadgets. They used to be pretty good with the TrueTalker and the HS strut products but this is getting out of hand. I have seen quite a few hens being bred over the years and have never heard that sound.
