In a search for more answers about bowhunting in Iowa has lead me here. From what I have seen so far you guys are totally into your deer hunting and that is really good to see. I'm here b/c I'm tired of not having a good place to bowhunt. I'd rather pay the out of state prices and have a place that I know I can hunt with out any problems and know that I have a good chance of seeing some nice bucks. I'm interested in the area south of Marne, IA west of Atlantic and north of Lewis. I'd like to know if this is a good area to hunt with a good number of deer or should I try else where. I have some family in this area and I'm thinking I would have better luck getting permission. Any information at all will help. Also, I have no problem with asking for permission and rolling up my sleves if it will help me find a good place to hunt come next November. Thanks

i'm not too familiar with the area in question, but there are trees, (its iowa, so you know there is corn) then, there are deer around. i would say you should go visit your family, take a little road trip, get the lay of the land, and start knocking on doors.

good luck
