Although its a bummer for honest folks, the law actually makes perfect sense.
Here is the scenario: Joe Blow the well known poacher is found with a large rack and no tag. Without this law the CO cant do a thing without finding a poached carcass to match it. I think Joe Blow might even be smart enough to let it rot a little if that were all it took to make it legal.
Its a good law, its the idiots who make it's existence neccesary that suck.
