Went for a hike today and seen this deer. Hes not too wide but quite tall. Next year maybe he will have forks on his back tines. He may just convince me to go muley hunting.

I was on the opposite side of a huge canyon. Im not sure how I even spotted him. He was about 400 yards out so it was a little more than a chip shot but Im sure it was a makeable shot for those prairie hunters.

This is where he was when I first seen him. He is almost dead center in the pic. Looks more like a rock than a deer. Hes lying down underneath some branches.
